Free plugin for WinAmp.

We use this at mofo fm with WinAmp 2.91 on a old 700Mhtz Athalon PC running Windows 2000 pro. It's a pretty basic programme but it does the job well.
Programmed by a fellow broadcaster (Andrei) who was frustrated at finding suitable software for his station.

Short Description from website :
Winamp Radio Scheduler is the program that lets you turn your computer into an advanced transmission studio. No more expensive programs that require 128 mb of ram, and stuff like that. WRS is simple. This is a task scheduler optimized for use with radio stations. It's got jingle and song rotating functions.

Hi Cyanidemonkey

I notice that this plugin isn't compatible with SQRSoft - how have you found its built-in crossfading compared to SQRSoft?  I've got crossfades just the way I like them and would be reluctant to change :-)

On a similar note I'm currently running Soundsource for processing (better than the old BE limiter I was using) - does anyone else use this?  I was happy with it until I tuned the Aphex 2020 we're using for Life fm Gore and realised that I had nowhere near the sound I should have.  Still tweaking.  It runs - just - on the Celeron 466 (512MB/Win2k) I'm using for CCM 88.1.  100% CPU?  No problem :-)

Hi arjoll,

Yeah, there is a few post on Andrei's guestbook about the other crossfader plugins.
As for me, I've not used the SQRSoft crossfader plugin so I can't really comment on the difference between the two.
I rekcon the WRS crossfader is ok, but the ability to schedule shows and station promos etc, is the main reason we use it. It also auto starts on computer start up and then starts up WinAmp, checks for dead air when running and stuff like that.
I emailed him recently, he said he will be putting out a new version later this year, I don't know if it will have SQR support, but it may, suggesting it as an option on his guestbook might be a good idea.
